Q: What changes are you planning to make for early access?
A: I would like to make the following changes
  • Giving every starting faction a unique mission tree and mechanic or ship line
  • Making the game more interesting and engaging. Improving things like graphics and AI.
  • fixing bugs (obviously)
  • Adding custom scenario editor
  • Probably getting rid of the current missions systems and replacing the Victory condition with something more interesting and substatial than just "highest points wins". Basically, integrating the lore of the scenario to the game mechanics more
Q: How long will you work on this game?
A: Over the course of a year or so from Early Access release. I will work on it regardless of interest
Q: Why does this game have such a small internet presence
A: I am a hobbyist doing this for fun

  • Added early Map Maker
  • Added manpower building chain

Nov 27, 2024: 0.2.1

  • Pirates will raid your territory in the early/mid game. Pirates have their own ship models, and can be paid off sometimes
  • Map Titles: You can turn on and off titles over the map governments. The title-placing algorithm is inconsistent right now and will be changed later on
  • Sending and expelling internal colonists from a planet is now a continuous process instead of a one-time action. A new action to speed up integration was added
  • You can scale the UI in the Options menu
  • Simplified the ship technology menu and some descriptions
  • AI will give dialogues during diplomacy. AI won’t spam the player asking for ententes

Dec 19, 2024: 0.2.2

  • Minor graphic changes and bugfix. Made foundations for a future civil war/coup system.

Jan 26, 2025: 0.2.3 "Structures"

  • You can construct defenses and space city structures
  • Changed the ship research tree so you can pick “paths” for ships at the start. This will need to be expanded upon a lot later
  • It now shows the reason you can’t recruit ships. The planet viewer was simplified. Added 5 music tracks
  • Improved map borders

March 1, 2025: 0.3 Victory System and Commanders

  • The mission system was deleted and replaced with a unique victory system. The victory system has three different methods by which you can win the game before time runs out. This should make the game faster and less tedious.
  • You now acquire Commanders who will lead fleets into battle. They give you access to special abilities during battles which boost your ship stats for a period. This will need to be made more interesting in the future.
  • Added lens flares to the battle skyboxes, added 4 new skyboxes.
  • Reduced the size of the game by 300MB. Increased speed of CPU operations.
  • Improved parts of the GUI. Improved the in-game tutorial.
  • Added an Achievements tab in the main menu.
  • Improved the title-placement algorithm.
  • Added a rotation option to the custom flag maker.
  • Fixed a problem with jagged edge antialiasing when zoomed out of the map.
  • Added an action to increase the number of building slots on a planet.
